Manufactured by General Monitors, this advanced detector uses multi-spectrum infrared (2–5 micron) technology to accurately identify hydrocarbon fires while minimizing false alarms from sunlight, hot machinery, or process noise.
Housed in a rugged SS316 stainless steel enclosure, the FL5000 is built for harsh onshore and offshore conditions. With a wide field of view (≥90° horizontal) and a maximum effective range of up to 95 meters, it provides broad area coverage and rapid response—typically within 10 seconds—to emerging fire threats.
Certified for use in hazardous areas, the FL5000 is ATEX approved (Sira 09ATEX1270) for Zone 1, Group IIB, T3, and rated IP67 for excellent protection against dust and water ingress. Its 4–20 mA output and 24 VDC power supply ensure seamless integration with fire and gas control systems, while 3/4" x M20 conduit entries support flexible installation.
